Use those pattern weights!

Eliminate tedious pinning by using pattern weights! Pattern weights are small pieces of heavy metal encased in fabric. They are round in shape and slightly flexible. You can use them to hold down your template while you trace it or to hold your pattern onto the fabric while you cut it with scissors or a rotary cutter.
Place them on your sewing instruction book to hold it open. Keep your sewing and embroidery notes from flying away by holding them down with a weight. Use these weights as a paperweight at your desk or in the kitchen to hold open a recipe book. With the many varieties of uses, you will want more than one package! These little weights are great for many things!

Great ideas. I have 2 sets, one from Stretch & Sew, and one from Cloth World. If you have been sewing a long time, that lets you know how old they are. They have been sitting in the drawer since I stopped garment sewing and started quilting, and now they are coming back out. I always thought they were very fascinating, that’s why i still have them.

I have seen them used on TV but not found in a store or on line I have been wanting them since March when I took my first sewing lesson. They look so cool

I use the weights you use for helium balloons.

When I first read your blog I was hoping you had a short cut to pinning the item to be embroidered to the stablizer. Maybe next time!
