Great minds think alike....I have used book shelves since the closet got filled. Since I still like to sew my own clothes and on occasion for others, I have kept the hang bar in the closet in my sewing room, but thought that hard-to-reach area in the ends was wasted so I built in shelves across the ends and can put alot of fabric in there and it is fairly easy to view and pull out. This brings me to a suggestion for storing all fabrics of 1/4 yard or more. In your video you mentioned that you fold fabric 10" wide for your book<br/>shelves....about 15 years ago I saw a great suggestion on one of the sewing how-to shows.....Fold your fabric into 9" or 1/4 yd....if you have more than 1 yard, fold it into 1 yard size and then in half and in half again--resulting in 9". It stacks nicely and won't get tipsy, and the best part is....you don't have to unfold it to know how much you have (a year later) you look at the end (that has the lengthwise fold)and count the layers, divide by 4 and that answer is the number of yards in the piece. I also use the hang bar in the closet and skirt or pant hangers to keep yards of interfacing, hard to fold fabrics such as vinyl or napped, or anything that is best kept flat with few folds. Thats where I keep clothes for ironing and mending. Diana
