A quick update over the last couple of months….May was an exciting month, of course! I was thrilled to be marrying my husband, Luke, on the 21st. What an incredibly, fast and wonderful, exciting day! Then we flew to Hawaii for a week for our honeymoon, which was a fun-filled journey! Next up? We packed up ALL my stuff (business and office included), drove to Colorado and then unpacked it all. And then I spent weeks really, truly unpacking. But that was a fun process! :)

And now, what you’re really wanting to see? I know, wedding photos. :) Keep scrolling. You’ll see them. :)

I know you’ve all been wondering about classes and when I’m going to start the next quilt class. I’m getting final details together on that and will be making an announcement in the next couple of weeks. Also, the Latte Quilt class DVD is just about ready, so stay tuned for that as well. I know you’re waiting and it’s coming…..soon, soon, soon! :)

I’m working to correct this error and sort through orders just as fast as I can, but I can only get through so many orders at one time. If you believe there has been an error or duplication with your order, you can drop me an email. I am double checking orders as I’m sorting through and processing each one to ensure each item and amount is correct. And that you are being charged the correct amount; if there is an error be reassured that it will be corrected or refunded to you.

Since my previous newsletter email was released this afternoon, my inbox has been bombarded with emails and orders! I am getting through them one at a time on a first come, first serve basis, so I will get back to you just as soon as I can! Keep in mind with the weekend coming up, it may be a a few days before some orders are shipped out. I will be working as quickly as I can to get items out promptly!

If you are having trouble with an order going through, the Internet server has been very busy, so try back again. Usually I get an error notice and if that is the case, I’ll be emailing you the details of that. Most of the time waiting a couple hours and then coming back will solve the problem. I truly apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, but the server will only handle so many visitors at once.

Also, over the next couple of weeks, I will be uploading some unlisted inventory that I have on hand, so check back for some new products that might be of interest to you! You might find a perfect home for them in your sewing room!!

No matter if the fabric measures 45 or 60 inches wide, a center foldine will almost always accompany your fabric that you purchase. Some tend to hold more of a crease than others, but it’s a good idea to unwrap the bolt of fabric to see if that foldline is permanent before purchasing.

Pull out the bolt of fabric and with your hands pull on either side of the foldline. Does it disappear? (In other words, will it press out just like a wrinkle or crease?) Do you see a slight fade line? (Could it be that there is a permanent fade line where the fabric is folded?) Take a peek at the fold to be sure it will come out or you can work around it if needed.

Most of the time that center fold line will press out, although some can be more stubborn than others. Try pressing with a stream iron. The steam is what will allow the fold to relax. Try spritzing the fabric with water and then press over it. If that still doesn’t get it out, then try spraying starch, such as Best Press (have I mentioned how much I love that stuff?!), and running your iron over it.

If that foldline still remains, wash and dry that piece of fabric. This will help to relax the fibers and take out the crispness of the fold. Then try pressing it with steam or a sprinkle of water.

If worst comes to worst and you are unable to get that foldline out, consider folding the fabric in another way to avoid that line. Or cover it up by placing trim, ribbon or other such embellishments on the line if it’s still showing in your project.
